And it wasn't due to late nights but a combination of boredom, artificial light, lack of fresh air and 'stodgy' sandwiches.
One of my values is well being so before things got worse and I ended up comatose on my computer, I took action and overhauled my lifestyle.
These days I am grateful that I have access to information and resources that have helped me super charge my energy. Because as a business owner I fully appreciate the importance of peak performance, so that I have the energy to seize opportunities, support my clients and enjoy life outside of work (without spending the weekends recovering).
Here are some of the things that have helped me along the way...
Meditation - As I don't always wake up feeling positive and focused (particularly during the winter months!) I've set up a morning
routine which involves meditation and setting intentions. It helps me start my day in the right frame of mine. If you need a little help to structure your time I find Deepak Chopra's 21 day meditation series on specific themes are ideal. Click here for all the details
Yoga - I've recently started attending Kundalini yoga classes which aim to energise the body, relax the mind and ease stress and tension. The powerful effects are achieved through a combination of mantra, exercise and breathing. YouTube has an abundance of short yoga videos, if you spend a lot of time at your desk and need to get the circulation flowing.
Powder supplements - There are some amazing superfood supplements available. I use the ones from Organic Burst to add to my smoothies but have also discovered Organic Blends such as Energise from LoveRaw and inSpiral Energy Mix
Minerals - I've not paid as much attention to Minerals as I have to getting the right vitamin supplements but reading more about this I discovered how vitamins are useless without minerals.
I've noticed a difference in my energy levels since I've started taking these natural plant derived minerals.
Golden Preserve( Chywanaprash) is a delicious organic blend of Honey, Amla Fruit and Cardamon from Pukka Herbs. It is traditionally used as a tonic for healthy living. It's worth taking at this time of year in hot drinks, porridge or smoothies to help ward off colds.

To your success,
