You may have heard the phrase "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got"
When this happens in business it can eventually show up as feeling stuck, bored and frustrated as things start to level off or you lose the drive, passion and excitement that first propelled you forward.
Even though you may have achieved a lot it begins to feel more of the same!
To get unstuck it helps to map out and take action on a process that leads to personal and business transformation.
Here are 6 steps to get the energy and momentum flowing...
Step one: Create space to review everything that you are doing and decide what to keep, what you would like to change and identify where the gaps are in your service delivery. This might involve reflecting on who you are becoming as an individual and the skills and interests you want to develop. Rev Michael Beckwith explains it as a process of self-examination, "What do I have to become to live this vision, to manifest it, to reveal it?" The visioning process is the process of transformation of the individual.'
Step two: Research and follow companies who have products and services that are leading the way in your field. What is it that they offer and how might you model, adapt or reinvent this for your own business?
Step three: Map out an exciting money making business model with new products and services. If your aim is to generate a six figure income what would you need to sell and at what price? Maybe you need to work with clients who will pay you what you're worth or develop a higher level programme/service that is aimed at a wider audience.
Step four: Delegate! This is an area that many business owners struggle with, as they are worried about the costs involved and losing control. However, if you add up the hours you might be spending on admin tasks just think how much time you could be using to create products and engage with decision makers.
Step five: Get support to implement your ideas. The best and fastest way is by hiring a coach or mentor, signing up for a mastermind group or working with a colleague. Unless you embrace this level of accountability in your business you risk losing confidence and talking yourself out of doing things differently! Plus, engage with or find role models of people who have stepped up in their businesses or are in the process of making these changes themselves. It will inspire you to do the same.
Step six: Change the way you communicate about you and your business so that it reflects how you want to be seen and heard. As you embrace and speak about this expanded version of yourself that's when transformation will take shape.
