Webinar Update – Rescheduled

Hello Theo

A quick update on this week’s issue of Quick Tips – the one about my upcoming webinar “How to Generate More sales from Your Website....”

It came to my attention that between the time that I write and scheduled the newsletter and when it was published that a scheduling conflict had come up and my webinar date had to be moved.

Originally it was scheduled for next week April 3rd.

It’s now had to be rescheduled to Tuesday April 15.

Remember, this webinar is ideally suited for the small business owner to ‘knows’ that their website is supposed to be performing, but it’s not. You’ll come away with a checklist of things that you can review and apply immediately to improve your onsite conversion ratio’s.

You can register online now – no cost: http://email.paulbarrs.com.au/t/i-l-zeddy-utlidruk-s/

Hope to see you there ;)

Highlights on Business Success!
Hi Theo!

Last week Zoe Clews and Tim Box gave a fabulous talk, at the Meet and Mingle, on the power of the subconscious mind and how it can enhance and accelerate your personal and professional success.

I'm sure that if we started each day using some of the tools and techniques that Zoe and Tim shared we'd be in a very powerful place in our businesses.

And the venue for our event certainly had the wow factor.  This is the 'film set' swimming pool which was just outside our gorgeous meeting room!

My approach to business has always been to work on the inner as well as the outer aspects, because unless you have a good foundation in place (ie physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) it can be a challenge to make wise choices and decisions.

Which is why when I left the grey plastic cubicle of corporate life I vowed that wherever and whenever possible I would give myself the best (without breaking the bank of course!).  Because not only does it enhance your feelings of self-worth, confidence and enjoyment of life and work, it can help you to attract better opportunities, clients and money.

Yet, I've noticed that there is a tendency for some of us  to deny ourselves the good things, because at some level we don't think we are worthy of more.  If this resonates with you (and I expect most of us feel this way to some extent) then start by taking small steps in some or all of these areas...

Education - seek out the best sources of information, books and home study programmes so that you keep growing and so does your business.  Over time you'll enhance your expert status and create more value for your clients, which is essential for client attraction and retention.

People - surround yourself with people who inspire and motivate you to succeed whether these are friends, colleagues and team members.  And be discerning about who you hire whether for branding, web design, mentors and coaches - 'hire slow and fire fast'

Clients - set the intention to work with clients who value you and your work; and have the resources, time and commitment to get the most from your expertise and support.  Not only will they get the best results but it will stretch and challenge you to keep delivering better levels of service - clearly a long term benefit for your clients and your business.

Money - I am sure that you have lots of experience and will have personally invested a considerable amount of your own time and money to set up and run your business.  Yet for many business owners charging what you are worth is a real stumbling block.  If you are undercharging and over delivering then you create an energy of lack, frustration and resentment which is not client attractive.  Resolve to charge what you are worth by ensuring that you know and understand the true value of your services/products.  If necessary get some expert help to resolve any money issues. This could be the single most important factor to sort out if you are committed to your business viability and success

Services - often it is the small personal touches that make a difference in our day to day lives.  I like to treat myself to products and services that make me feel pampered and special, whether this involves a lovely environment or the way in which the service is delivered or packaged.  We all need the services of others (dentists, hairdressers, advisors) so why not choose the best you can afford and notice how this makes you feel.  Then, see how you can translate the great things that you experience into your own service provision - could you offer more free content, meet clients in beautiful surroundings, give surprise bonuses or send personal notes?

Allow yourself the best you can afford and watch how this will start to show up in how you think, feel and act in your business.  The quality of services you deliver, the clients who want to work with you and the amount of money you attract will all start to improve.

To your success,

FREE WEBINAR: How to Generate More Sales from Your Website!

Good Morning Theo

Each month I get asked to run various workshops, seminars and webinars for different companies. They’re all good, but some are GREAT. Next week I’m doing a free webinar that definitely fits the bill for “Great!”

How to Generate More Sales from Your Website.

I’m running this webinar at lunchtime April 3rd (Thursday) A.E.S.T.

It’s ideally suited for the small business owner to ‘knows’ that their website is supposed to be performing, but it’s not. You’ll come away with a checklist of things that you can review and apply immediately to improve your onsite conversion ratio’s.

Do you sell your products online? Then this is for you.

Is your goal to get people to contact you (lead generation)? Then this is for you.

Maybe you want to increase your onsite engagement (get people to read your stuff). You’ll get some great ideas from this webinar.

Do you do PPC advertising?  Want to increase your conversions per click? Of course! I’ll show you how.

Or perhaps you need to get a ‘better quality of prospect’ from your search marketing... this webinar will help.

And yes, it IS free.

However, seats are limited to 50.

Register and book now: https://www4.gotomeeting.com/register/634314783

See you there -

Internet Business Quick Tips...10 Tips to Help you Market Your Website

10 Tips to Help you Market Your Website

Hello Theo

Imagine this... you’ve got a business, you build a website, you put your social media plan into action... but nothing much happens. Sound familiar?

Of course, it’s the same story that I hear from business owners around the country day in and day out. We do out best, and we employ others to do THEIR best – but still, the results that we can are less than impressive.

Have you ever felt like that? I’d lay odds on that 1 out of every 3 people reading this today feel EXACTLY like that – right now!

However, there are things that you can do about it, and some of these things are things that you can “check out” yourself without having to engage someone like me to do it for you.

Take a look at my first tip for you -

1. Make sure that the first 10 seconds count.

You’ve heard it before, the first 10 seconds in any meeting are the most important. It’s just the same with your website. The colours that you use, the size and relevancy of your graphics, text and links all lead towards your impact presentation. When a new prospect lands on your site they have to know within 10 seconds whether or not they have arrived in the right place. There can be no indecision here – they must know to leave or stay. Make it obvious to them.

Google says that you should really be aiming for your pages to load within 2 seconds – yeah, I know! But this is incredibly important for the user experience. My second power tip is -

2. Avoid heavy loading and fancy graphics.

It follows a similar theme to the above note, but this point applies specifically to your website’s load time. This is failure that most businesses are aware of, but few take action on. How fast does your site load for you? Do all your visitors have high speed connections? The guideline is 8 seconds on a dialup modem (2 seconds on high speed), any longer and you’re playing double jeopardy. Above, avoid the temptation to make your landing page some huge logo image or flash presentation. More people than you think don’t want this – in fact, they don’t care at all what your logo looks like, they want to know what’s in it for them.

These two ‘basic’ website tips can count for more than 80% of success (or failure)!

Take a look at this free tool at Pingdom.com http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ . It will allow you to check the load time speed of your site. This is something you can easily do yourself, though you may need help getting the numbers down if they’re too high.

I’ve got 8 more power tips for you on my blog post “Website Tips for Building a Strong Lead Generation Website”. Take a look and learn more about how you can improve you sales funnel, your free offer, and how to get your customers to stick around longer.

Let me know what you think(I guarantee they’re NOT what you think).
