You've had a great idea, you've started something new. You have high hopes and expectations - others have made it...
Then, reality sets in. You get rejections. You have doubts and concerns. And your excitement starts to fade.
At this point you may be thinking of giving up and trying something completely different.
And often many of us do...
Discouragement at any stage in your business is entirely natural. But if you can manage your way through these challenges and obstacles, then there is often something far better on the other side.
The first step is to simply acknowledge your feelings. Allowing yourself to feel your emotions, without judgement, will help you start the process of discovering what you can do next - what do you need (reassurance, advice, insights, compassion) and what can you change?
Then find something that will shift your emotional state, because negative emotions keep us stuck in repetitive thoughts which block our creativity.
This could be exercise, time in nature or connecting with friends. Often, I need to take a complete break from what I am working on so I look for different sources of inspiration (art galleries, conversations, a different environment and healthy eating cook books work for me!)
Give yourself time before making big decisions about whether to quit. By creating some space you'll know if you're still passionate about your work/project or not.
If what you're doing is in alignment and you're ready to power up your purpose then seek out more support and solutions. And ask for help!
By generating fresh momentum you will break through this barrier to success, learn more about yourself and be ready to engage at a much higher level.
