Through my work I meet SUCH interesting and inspiring people that from time to time I would like to share their personal journeys with you. I hope that this encourages you, like it has me, to keep pursuing your passion in life and business.
This month I interviewed Jody Shield who has transformed her work and her lifestyle following a trip to South America. 
Jody was a Business Director for a very successful new advertising agency; set up by big industry players. She worked for 10 years in various agencies looking after client relationships, developing the business within their accounts.
It was an exciting time, working with big brands with big budgets and creating some really cool work. It gave Jody oodles of experience in marketing, communications and business strategy - all invaluable for launching her own business as an Alternative Therapist, offering some very unique treatments for her clients.
Here's my interview with Jody...
How did you make the transition from a very corporate role to such a different path in your life?
Good question!! I took some time-out on a soul-searching mission to South America. I spent time with an indigenous tribe who foresaw my change in career. They opened my connection to life and nature. When I came back, I'd deeply changed. My ideals had evolved - I didn't feel satisfied 'coasting' through life. I was hungry for change. I wanted to transform lives, be in service and live a life of authenticity, aligned to my true purpose. To help people move through fears and illness, and find a new way of living in happiness, stress-free and relating to other. I needed to be truly 'in-service'.
Light Grids is a new treatment that you offer to your clients. Could you explain how you discovered it and how it works?
I was called to train with the founder in Germany. Light Grids is a new means of Physical and Spiritual clearing. It is very powerful, and the clearing it provides is deep and highly transformational. You clear out of all your old emotions, trauma, memories and beliefs. I act as a facilitator, tuning into the energy field of the client and I channel the information and healing I receive. It feels like a very deep and thorough detox of the mind, body and soul. You feel different afterwards and clients experience huge emotional releases.
Who do you work with and what results do your clients experience?
My talent is normalizing self-help and Spiritual healing to the mainstream and I have an excellent success rate. I work with Bankers, Lawyers, Models, DJ's, Journalists, Coaches. Clients experience many things including: more love in all areas of their life, reduced stress and improved sleep, increased confidence and presence, improved health conditions, clearing of fears, inner peace, calm and joy, deep self-acceptance, increased intuition.
You are an inspiring advocate for energy management and self-care. Do you have any tips about your daily routine that maintain your well-being?
The most important thing is Meditation. I meditate every morning to connect into myself and my energy field. If I miss this, I feel unbalanced all day. Another tip is deep breathing. As a nation, we mostly shallow breathe, filling just our chests. The entire body needs our oxygen, so try some deep breathing into the abdomen. I live and work from the heart which is your centre of emotional intelligence (and a brain) so I always 'check-in' and see how i'm doing, because I know my heart will give me the honest answer.
I know that you are on an exciting path of personal and professional development. What are your plans for the future?
So many things are on the horizon. It's about learning to use discernment when making decisions about what to do next. Filtering out the average opportunities with not much reward or gain, to focusing on the things that I would love to do and make me emotional with excitement. Next year will be retreats, more speaking work, writing a regular column in press and working more internationally...watch this space!
