Internet Business Quick Tips...Who’s Got a Question?

Who’s Got a Question?

Hello Theo,

One of the easiest things in the world to do that most business owners DON’T do is communicate with their customers.

There are many ways we can do this; via email (like I am now), via Social Media (like I will be later), via surveys (such as the free service at SurveyMoney.com) or simply by LISTENING to what people have to say.

This past week a friend of mine shared his frustration at how one company he’d dealt with recently seemed to be ignoring him. Turns out, it wasn’t just ‘him’ but pretty much everybody who’d been complaining about a particular issue on their Facebook Business Page.

He asked me if “that’s what they’re supposed to do.... (answer your questions).” ‘Damn right,’ I said. But you know, like I do, that often they don’t.

Here’s a couple of quick things you can do to keep tabs on what people are saying about you -

#1. Regularly MONITOR your social media profiles and LOOK for mentions. If you get a lot of discussion about your products / services, then use a pro tool like Hootsuite to be checking for mentions for you.

#2. Set up Google Alerts to send you updates of any new mentions of your brand in search.

#3. Regularly ASK your customers / websites visitors what they WANT in terms of content / product / product delivery.

This is something I’ve done many times and am going to start doing again TODAY.

Have you got a question to ask?

Hit REPLY with your question (stuff about online business) and for my next issue of Quick Tips (and for the one after and the one after end so on...) I’m also going to add a Question / Answer section.

Here’s the thing... I’ve learnt that if ONE PERSON has a question, then others often have the same question.

So tell me... what ONE THING is bugging you about internet business at the moment? Let me know what you’d like me to answer for you.

HIT REPLY and ask away -

Till then, have a great week ;)

Paul Barrs

My Goal is simple - to help you achieve *yours* online :)
