In case you missed out I've extended the early bird ticket price until Friday.
Life has been very busy recently and I know when I'm in full production mode I can quickly lose touch with my inner wisdom, intuition and guidance.
As Albert Einstein wrote, 'The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift'
Everything starts to be about what's going on 'out there' rather than what's happening 'inside'. Sadly, this can lead to quite negative feelings and behaviour - comparing and despairing, exhaustion, complaining, controlling and forcing things to happen. Not very appealing or client attractive!
It takes conscious awareness and mindfulness to pull back and accept that I don't always have to be in the driving seat. My inner wisdom has a lot more to offer and in the past has always come up with the most creative and usually the best solutions.
When the frantic, struggle energy starts to kick in here is what can help to get back in touch with that amazing power which lies within each of us.
Create space. Unfortunately most of us live in a society where being busy or glued to our phones have become almost an addiction. Some of us are afraid of missing out so we think we have to stay technically connected for all our waking hours. Recently, I've been doing some very intensive in person work where I didn't get time to check my phone or emails for several hours. And it made no difference at all! I was still able to keep up with messages by responding to emails at the end of the day. By being so technology driven we are not allowing space for our brains to do what they do best - think imaginatively. Tip: give yourself a break from the screen and create technology free time zones every day.
Time to dream. As a child I loved to day dream, allow my mind to wander and envision all sorts of possibilities. Today it seems a luxury to sit around or have an idle moment. Yet this is when we do have our 'eureka moments' and our million dollar ideas. Tip: allow yourself to daydream at any time or place such as on the bus or train or in a coffee shop. You might surprise yourself with the ideas that surface or the signs you notice around you.
Pose a question. As you allow space and time in your life pose a question such as 'what's the next step I could take?', 'what would bring me feelings of happiness and well being?' Then listen for the answers such as feelings, hunches, signs or words that start to show up Tip: don't try to force answers or search for clues just allow the solution or insights to naturally unfold and trust that the way forward will appear.
Write it down. The author Julia Cameron recommends writing morning pages to allow your thoughts to be expressed uncensored onto paper. It helps to process and clear your mind of repetitive, negative worries and can bring clarity to confusing ideas and emotions. Writing is a tool that provides a path way to access to your inner wisdom. Tip: explore your inner wisdom by putting pen to paper and giving voice to your hidden inklings and imagination - without judgement.
